These are two galaxies that collided 100 million years ago, giving birth to new stars, the most massive of which have already exploded into supernovas. This scientific photograph was obtained by combining the data obtained by the Hubble telescope with that of an observatory collecting X-ray and infrared data emitted by this galaxy. The photographs were taken between 1999 and 2002, and represent 117 hours of observation. Vintage chromogenic print. Reference in margin and caption and references on folio and label on back. 50.8 x 40.6cm with margins.
