Given in Paris on May 11, 1792 - LOUIS XVI King of the French, the National Assembly has decreed the following:... after having heard the report of its Committees of the Twelve, of petitions and of surveillance assembled, on the events occurred in Avignon; considering that it is instant to make cease and repress the disorders which have just been renewed in this City and in the comtat ; that it is important that those accused of the crimes of October 16 and 17 last, who have escaped from prison, be promptly arrested; that the execution of the Law of March 28 last, on the definitive organization of the districts of VAUCLUSE and LOUVÈSE, cannot be delayed; that the commissioners appointed by the Bouches-du-Rhône department must be replaced without delay...
