To Mr DE BROSSI in Joyeuse (Ardèche). 3 pages in-4°: "One of the most fervent wishes of the people who saw you during your short stay in Mâcon and who belong to the Société des Sciences was to count you among their colleagues. They hastened to present you as a Correspondent, and the Society was no less eager to award you this title... Your work must have put you in possession of public esteem, but if you can consider yourself honored to belong to a new Association, which is unknown, You will perhaps be satisfied to help illustrate it, and urge you to share some of your work with it... I am sending you a copy of the account of our first work."
