Eight Portuguese manuscripts: 1- Play entitled Que bom pai!... (What a good father!), a one-act comedy to be performed at the Theatro do Gymnasio Dramatico, Portugal, 1855. 30 pages recto-verso. 2- Poetry notebook by Maria Fernando (de Castro?). 5 pages. Cover with embroidery. 3- Copy entitled A Voz da Razao (The Voice of Reason) by José Anastacio da Cunha. Apparently, this work was only published posthumously due to religious considerations. 4- Portuguese scientific manuscript with numerous geometric drawings. 8 pages. 5- Letter dated March 24, 1708 from Daman in India, concerning the estate of Bento Cordeiro, a native of Abrantès in central Portugal who died in 1703. Essentially, it concerns the settlement of his affairs after his death and the distribution of his property. As his widow had died, it was necessary to determine who should inherit his fortune. 6- Letter dated August 28, 1690 concerning the establishment of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Mombasa (Kenya). The Holy House of Mercy, a very important charitable organization that still exists today. 7- Letter dated January 5, 1727 from the brothers of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Macao to the brothers of the Santa Casa da Misericórdia in Goa, India. 8- Two-page legal document, dated 1889, on line paper with revenue stamp.
