SEVEN YEARS WAR. Period handwritten memoir by M. le Comte de MAILLEBOIS, who served under Marshal d'ESTRÉES. - Autograph manuscript by a military officer (the Comte de MAILLEBOIS, in another hand) on the famous battle of HASTENBECK (July 26, 1757), 12 pages in-4°, erasures and corrections and additions. "The calumnies that have been spread against me concerning the Battle of ASTEINBECK (in Hanover) oblige me to justify myself in the eyes of the public... if I can prove that I took part in the successes of M. le Maréchal d'ESTRÉES... One does not recriminate when one is proud to prove one's innocence by authentic facts...".
