GARD - Jean-César VINCENS-PLANCHUT (Nîmes 1755 - 1801) Député du GARD à l'Assemblée Législative de 1791 - Lettre A.S. " Vincens-Planchut " de NIMES (30) 12 avril 1785. 2 pages in-4°, to M. DORTHÈS in Vauvert (Gard). Sends him a bundle of newspapers from Paris: "... I thank you for the lovely drawing of Papillon flambé that you kindly sent me. I've had some coppers in Avignon for several months and as soon as they're back, I'll start engraving them. I would be extremely flattered if you would send me your work on the insects of our climate... I'll be delighted to receive the Vistra insect catalogue you've sent me; it will help me to rectify mine, which I'm sure is very faulty. I have a Fauna-succ. edition from 1746, and therefore already old. It is at your disposal, and if you think it could be of use to you, I will send it to you on your reply. As for the Museum Regia, the only copy I know of belongs to the Academy, and I am not allowed to dispose of it outside the Library...".
