18k yellow gold (750) pocket watch with enamel and diamonds.
Late 19th century
Small ladies’ lapel watch in the form of a pendant, suspended from a chain.
- Round 18k yellow gold case with a body chased with foliage motifs. The reverse is adorned with a gilded guilloché medallion bordered by a band of white enamel, centered by an appliqué motif set with a rose-cut diamond. Yellow gold bail and ring.
- White enamel dial with black-painted Arabic numerals and a beaded minute track. Gilded Louis XV-style hands.
- Hand-wound mechanical movement with a cylinder escapement, openworked bridges, and winding via the pendant.
Comes with its yellow gold neck chain featuring jaseron links.
Gross weight: 21.58 g (with chain).
Diameter: approx. 25 mm.
Condition: Very good overall condition. White enamel well preserved with no major visible chips. Clear engraving, legible hallmarks.
Enamel in good condition, no visible cracks or chipping.
The watch was not functioning at the time of appraisal; servicing is recommended.
