HAAS NEVEUX Cie Srs Late 19th – early 20th century 18K yellow gold (750 thousandths) chronograph pocket watch - White enamel dial, Roman numerals for the hours, railway-style track with tachymeter scale and 1/5-second markings in Arabic numerals. Two subsidiary dials: small seconds at 6 o’clock and minute totalizer (30 min) at 12 o’clock. Gold-plated hands. - Gold case, engraved with the inscription “Ancienne Maison B.HAAS Jeune / HAAS NEVEUX Cie / Genève Paris” within a guilloché frieze. - Manual-winding mechanical movement, lever escapement, bimetallic cut balance wheel with compensation screws, Breguet hairspring. Split-seconds chronograph mechanism with two column wheels. Accompanied by its 18K yellow gold (750 thousandths) waistcoat chain. Gross weight: 139.6 g House founded in 1848 by the HAAS brothers (B. HAAS the Younger), renowned for its fine timepieces and complications. Condition: In very good overall condition. Signs of wear and light micro-scratches on the back and bezel. The engraving is clear and well-preserved. The watch was functioning at the time of appraisal; a service is recommended.
