Omnisport / Stade Français - Lot 183
Omnisport / Stade Français Official Stade Français armband Blue felt, with “Stade Français” in red rubber letters, small official club crest, two fastening tabs. Circa 1930 7 × 38 cm (holes) Included: an enameled Stade Français medal inscribed “To Gérard Juris – 1989” A significant piece of French sports history. Founded at the Café Procope in 1883, in the wake of the Racing Club de France, Stade Français has been shaped by thousands of leaders and athletes across all disciplines. This armband is a touching memento; who might have fastened this buckle? Was it during an “À Travers Paris” relay race, a rugby match, or a basketball game? The shadows of Géo Lefèvre, Dedet, Lesieur, Communeau, and Mathieu stand alongside Serge Saulnier, André Vernières, Marcel Hansenne, and Michel Clare. Great moments resonate in this humble armband, from Christophe Dominici to Pascale Piquemal, the current president.
