Louis François, Duke of BOUFFLERS, Marshal of France in 1693 (1644–1711) Letter signed “Marshal de BOUFFLERS,” written in BOUFFLERS (80) on September 6, 1700, to Mr. De ROUSSEVILLE: “… I have brought here the documents you indicated you wished to see regarding the genealogy of Messrs. de ROUVEREL and de REMIENCOURT… so that I may have the opportunity to have said documents copied here should you deem it necessary. I beg you to remember to bring me the genealogy you have recently compiled and which youpromised—of a gentleman from Picardy to serve as a model for those of Messrs. ROUVEREL and DE REMIENCOURT—and to likewise bring me any new information you may have regarding my name since I last saw you. I would be very pleased to know if you have taken any steps or obtained any further information regarding the iron plaques I need, as I wish to decide on the course of action you deem most appropriate so that they may be made as soon as possible…” 2 pages, in-4°.
