LORRAINE. Before the notaries of the Provost’s Office and Registry of CONFLANS-EN-JARNISY (54), currently at the Château de LA GRANGE (57), appeared Sir Nicolas de BEAUCLAIN, Knight and Lord of Colmey, La Grange, Second Lieutenant of the Light Cavalry of His Royal Highness’s Guard, Colonel of Cavalry, residing at the said LA GRANGE, who, having reflected on the terms, clauses, and conditions of the donation he had previouslymade in favor of Sir Jacques Philippe de CHAMISSOT, Knight and Captain of the Cuirassiers in the service of His Imperial Majesty in the Regiment of Mr. de MARTIGNY—his nephew and son of his own sister—in his absence by deed dated December 4, 1716… ” he annulled the deed and drew up a new one, granting to his nephew “The Land and Lordship of LA GRANGE, the Châtelain, consisting of high and low justice, houses, meadows, land, woods, mills… and the Lordship of VILLE-SUR-YON and VILLE-AUX-PRÉS. ” Dated at CONFLANS (54) on April 19, 1721. This “copy of the deed of gift” was delivered to Monsieur de BONCOURT in 1721. ” (The town of BONCOURT is located in Meurthe-et-Moselle). An 8-page in-4° manuscript stamped by the Generality of Lorraine, with 1 signature by the clerk.
