Victor-Marie, Duke of ESTRÉES, Marshal of France in 1703, Peer of France in 1723, Vice-Admiral of the Ponant, Lieutenant General of Brittany, and Viceroy of New France; member of the Académie Française. (Paris 1660–1737) – Copy of the petition to the Marshals of France and the order signed in Paris on April 24, 1734, by Marshal Duke of ESTRÉES: Monsieur de LESTANG-DERY, a native of Berry, finding himself under pressure from Chevalier de PIERRE-BUSSIÈRE to pay a promissory note in the amount of 1,000 livres, appeals to the Marshals of France to order Monsieur BAUDIÈRE, residing at the Château d’Entraygues near Aurillac (Cantal) to make immediate payment of two promissory notes for 500 livres each that he owes to Monsieur de LESTANG-DERY, given that he is being pursued by Chevalier de PIERRE-BUSSIÈRE in the service of the King. The petition was submitted by F. MANGIN de BEAUVAIS, Prior of the College of Grandmont, acting on behalf of Sieur LESTANG-DÉRY. 4 folio pages.
