(MAYENNE) Barony of CRAON. Customs of ANJOU - “Ruling of the Court of Parliament, confirming an order of the Finance Office of TOURS dated May 15, 1752, which ordered the guardian of Mr. de LA FOREST D’ARMAILLÉ, a minor and owner of the Barony of CRAON in Anjou, to pay to the General Receiver of Estates and Forests of TOURS the minority transfer tax due in respect of the said Barony, in accordance with Article 107 of the Customary Law of the said Province, notwithstanding the opinion of all commentators on the Customary Law, both ancient and modern, who attest that this duty has fallen into disuse in Anjou and has not been enforced there.” - January 22, 1756 - Title page.
