WATCHMAKING: “JUDGMENT of the Paris Court of Election, declaring that 2 gold chains for ladies’ watches, 12 watches with gold cases, and 22 watches with silver cases were seized and confiscated for the benefit of the tax collector, from Jean FURCY LE ROUX, Master Watchmaker, and David DROTZ, his Journeyman, and sentences them jointly and severally to a fine of three hundred livres and to pay all costs. And JUDGMENT of the Court of Aydes. Which dismisses the appeal, orders that the appealed decision shall take full and complete effect; acknowledges the Farmer’s offers and consent to return to Sieur le ROUX the movements of the gold and silver watches; consequently, orders that the movements be handed over to the said Le Roux, without prejudice to his right of recourse against Abraham DUBOIS and all others; orders the said Le Roux and DROTZ to pay the fine and all costs. ” – dated March 24, 1762, and March 18, 1763 – Printed in PARIS, by PRAULT, Quai de Gêvres, au Paradis, 1763, 9 pages, in-4°.
