CÔTE-D’ARMOR. QUINTIN. Letter signed by the Duchess of LORGES (wife of General Guy Alphonse Louis de DURFORT, 2nd Duke of LORGES, Duke of Quintin (Côte d’Armor)). Paris, July 6, 1770, addressed to Monsieur de GERY, Public Prosecutor of the Duchy of LORGES (sic Lorge) in Brittany. Wax seal bearing the coat of arms at the opening. 2 pages, in-4°, traces of water damage. : “‘I have learned, Sir, Mr. Daguy, who assured me that Mr. Leroux would soon send you the plans regarding the demolition of the Market Hall and the construction of the Quintin Market, and that as soon as this shipment arrived, he would give you the instructions most appropriate to the situation. He also told me that he had sent the Chancellor his opinion on the matter of Sieur Gautier, but that the magistrate had deemed it appropriate to allow the proceedings to continue; rest assured, moreover, of my continued efforts to follow up on your registered letter…”
