MEUSE. 2 Printed documents: THE KING’S JUDGMENT dismissing the appeal of the residents of VAUCOULEURS (55) in their appeal against the decree of November 29, 1772, and orders that they, along with all other communities that benefit from a reduction on the original price of SALT, shall be required to pay the eight sous per livre, in accordance with the said decree. - April 4, 1773 - Printed. 4 pages, in-4° + “Decree of the King’s Council of State of March 3, 1789, ordering that PAINTED AND PRINTED FABRICS produced in the factories established in BAR-LE-DUC and the surrounding area, shall continue to enter the Kingdom, upon payment to the Office of SAINT-DIZIER of ninety livres per quintal and the ten sous per livre, and prescribes the formalities to be fulfilled in order for them to be admitted for payment of the said duties.” - March 3, 1789 - Royal Press, 4p in-4° - Headpiece: “To date, foreign calico has been fraudulently imported into the Kingdom; His Majesty has deemed it necessary to take the necessary measures to prevent this abuse from occurring in the future...”
