NAVY. CHARENTE-MARITIME. Charles-Augustin LEVASSOR de LA TOUCHE, Count of TRÉVILLE (1712–1788), Lieutenant General of the Navy. He fought in the American War of Independence. He was called upon to take command of the navy at the Port of Rochefort, replacing his brother Le Vassor de La Touche, who had just died.
