Letter signed RENUSSON, to his brother in Château du Loir (Sarthe): “… If I have not yet sold my plantation by the time your nephew is of age and fully educated, I will welcome him with great pleasure… ” + Port of Spain, Trinidad, August 8, 1871. Letter signed by Agostini Brothers & Co., addressed to the Compagnie Coloniale in Paris. It promises to send 50 sacks of cocoa; due to torrential rains, the cocoa harvest is of poor quality. The price of cocoa is lower on the American and French markets.
