MILET de MUREAU (Louis-Marie Destouff, Baron de) Toulon 1751–1825 – Deputy to the Constituent Assembly in 1789 representing the Seneschalsy of Toulon - General in 1796, Minister of War in 1799 - Letter signed by AUBERT-DUBAYET, Minister of War (in his own hand), countersigned by Brigadier General MILET-MUREAU, Director of Fortifications - PARIS, 11 Pluviôse, Year 4 (January 31, 1796) – To Citizen DEJEAN, Major General, Commander of the Engineer Corps at GORÉUM, Army of the NORTH – letterhead and seal of the Army of the Land - Appointment of various non-commissioned officers, attached to the Engineer Brigade to fill vacant officer positions in the 10th Sappers Battalion. “As I do not know where these officers are at present, I am sending you their letters of promotion and ask that you forward them to the officers as soon as possible so that they may proceed without delay to YPRÈS, their new posting.”
