CORRÈZE. 1801. RHINE ARMY. 7th Half-Brigade of Line Infantry. Permanent discharge from military service for Léonard DUPUYS, fusilier of the 6th Company, 2nd Battalion, a native of Madrange, Corrèze, formerly a soldier in the 1st Auxiliary Battalion of Corrèze; who served in the Campaign of Year 8; we further attest to his honor and integrity, and that his wounds were sustained during the events of the war. Dated at STRASBOURG on the 20th of Germinal, Year 9 (April 10, 1801). Document signed by SCHAUENBURG (Alexis-Balthazar-..., Count of) Hellimer 1748–1832 - General - Beautiful vignette with frieze - Decorative - On the reverse, his medical examination certificate: “The Military Hospital of Sainte-Marguerite in Strasbourg... received a gunshot wound near HERBACH to the upper part of his leg, which fractured that limb...” Numerous signatures. 1 page (29 x 40 cm)
