SPANISH ARMY. 2 Letters from Generals dated 1809 and 1811: Jean Pierre François BONET, General of the Revolution and the Empire (Alençon, Orne, 1768–1857). Letter from A.S. BONET, Major General. St. Vicente (Spain), March 16, 1809. 1 p., in-4°. To a General. “His Majesty, Marshal the Duke of ISTRIE (BESSIÈRES), informs me that he is sending me a thousand raincoats. I presume they come from the warehouses in Burgos.” He orders their distribution at Tarrelavega to the units stationed elsewhere + Jean LECAMUS, Baron de Molignon, General of the Empire (Aubusson 1762–1846). Document signed, in triplicate, at VALLADOLID (Spain) on November 6 (1811), in his capacity as General and Chief of the General Staff. “The Commander-in-Chief orders the 4th Vistula Regiment to depart from ZAMIRA as soon as it has been relieved by the 4th Battalion of the 62nd Line Infantry Regiment, to proceed to BENAVENTE, where it will be under the command of Major General Count DUMOUTIER…” 1p in-4°
