Robert d’ORLÉANS, Duke of Chartres (Paris 1840 – Château de Saint-Firmin (Oise) 1910) Grandson of Louis-Philippe, King of the French. Father of the Count of Paris, Jean d’Orléans. A military man, he fought in the American Civil War, then went into exile with his uncles Joinville and Aumale in 1870.
