Set of 3 friendly letters, all signed “A.S.,” including one on letterhead reading “NATIONAL GUARDS of the SEINE department” in which the Emperor is mentioned several times. - Condolence letter dated November 2 (1863) “My dear and longtime friend... It is solely to the Emperor’s generosity that I owe this high distinction...” VERSAILLES, July 4, 1835, to his Good and Dear Friend Baron GAZAN (countersignature and postmarks).
