NASA. LARGE FORMAT. APOLLO 15 MISSION. Panorama of Station 8 – Mount Hadley Delta This photograph is part of a panorama taken during the Apollo 15 mission at Station 8. It shows Mount Hadley Delta as well as the ALSEP scientific instruments installed on the lunar surface. The image was taken during the astronauts’ second moonwalk. Observations of this area provided insights into the lunar mountains and the region’s oldest rocks. This panorama is among the most important scientific images brought back by Apollo 15. 1971.
