NASA. LARGE FORMAT. APOLLO 15 MISSION. Panorama from Station 8 – Apollo 15 This photograph is part of the panorama taken at Station 8 by the Apollo 15 astronauts. It shows the spectacular terrain of the Hadley-Apennine region, explored during the second lunar excursion. There, the astronauts studied the rocks and mountains to better understand the Moon’s geological history. These panoramas made it possible to place each sample back in its original environment. Today, they constitute one of the most important photographic records of the lunar surface. 1971. Post-processed chromogenic print. Numbered on the front.
