NASA. LARGE FORMAT. APOLLO 17 MISSION. Station 5 – Camelot C - Lot 122
NASA. LARGE FORMAT. APOLLO 17 MISSION. Station 5 – Camelot Crater.
This photograph shows the lunar landscape as seen from Station 5, near Camelot Crater, during the Apollo 17 mission. There, the astronauts studied large boulders and collected several samples for analysis. This region provided a better understanding of the origin of the Moon’s ancient lava flows. The image reveals terrain covered with rocks, dust, and small craters. It is among the most important scientific records brought back by the last manned mission to the Moon. 1972.
Post-chromogenic print. Numbered on the front. Caption on a label on the back. 40.6 x 40.6 cm with margins.
