NASA. LARGE FORMAT. “Lookout” Panorama – Spirit on Mars This panoramic photograph was taken by the Spirit rover from a vantage point called Larry’s Lookout. It shows a 360° panorama of the Husband Hill hills in Gusev Crater. The rover’s tracks are visible on the Martian surface, along with sulfur-rich rocks. Scientists used this view to plan the rover’s continued ascent to the hilltop. This panorama is one of the most famous and detailed images returned by the Spirit mission. 2005.
