Etienne François BAZOT (1782–1867, a Masonic writer who published a *Masonic Vocabulary* and a *Freemason’s Handbook* —He also left behind a body of secular work, including poetry and short stories) / Rare signed autograph manuscript, 3 pages, small quarto (18 x 22.5 cm), of a song dedicated to “Messieurs les Convives des Soupers de Momus,” 1810s, titled “L’Chansonnié d’la Guernouillère,” a popular street expression - Bazot signed it in his own hand with his beautiful, large signature, identifying himself as “Writer,” but he also signed “Jérôme Dubuis” as the author (Dubuis is therefore one of his pseudonyms) - In his *Manuel du Franc-maçon*, p. 358, he includes a “Historical and Sentimental Lament on the Events of the Initiation of Jean-Louis-Chrisotôme- Richôme-Jérôme Dubuis, Master Passeux of La Guernouillère,” and on p. 364, there is a “Masonic and Literary Tribute” by the same Jean-Louis, etc. Dubuis, “Master Passeux of La Guernouillère, apprentice balladeer and fellow brother…” - In this lament and this literary tribute, Bazot uses the same popular expression as in the manuscript of this song
