DUPUY to the Coadjutor of Le Plessis – Paris, January 30, 1780 – 1 p., in-4°: “I have the honor of informing you that Mr. MALTOR, Assistant Librarian of the University, was appointed Librarian yesterday, which makes the appointment of Mr. BINET, our Professor of Rhetoric, to the position of Assistant Librarian—which he has applied for—virtually assured. The tribunal responsible for making the decision will convene shortly.” He requests that the decision be rendered before the chair becomes vacant.
