LAMBERT, Charles Guillaume (1726 – guillotined in Paris, 1793) Magistrate, Counselor to Parliament, and Comptroller General of Finance (1788–1790) - Document signed “LAMBERT” certifying as a true copy a Decree of the National Assembly dated July 9–21, 1790, which abolished the offices of JURÉS-PRISEURS, created by an Edict of February 1771 or other decrees; orders that the fee of four deniers per livre of the sale price, which had been allocated to them, shall continue to be collected for the benefit of the public treasury; and authorizes notaries, clerks, bailiffs, and sergeants to conduct the said sales—4 pages in-4° with a header band.
