Letter A.S. “Philippe ORTALE, Former Representative, Former Member of the Legislative Body, Chief Clerk of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Court of Cassation,” Paris, May 17, 1810, to the State Councilor in charge of litigation concerning National Estates. 2 pages, in-4° format. He states that François RABIEUX, having bid on and paid for, in Year 4, the lands formerly belonging to the Church of FLINES-LEZ-MORTAGNE (Nord), had not been put in possession due to a double transfer of title, and that he “requests the restitution and reimbursement of the sums that the Treasury has unduly enjoyed for 14 years to the detriment of a poor family man.”
