Charles François LEBRUN, Duke of Plaisance (Manche, 1739–1824), Member of Parliament, Third Consul alongside Bonaparte, and Prince-Archchancellor of the First Empire. In 1810, he was tasked with organizing the annexation of the Kingdom of Holland to France, but was unsuccessful. – Letter signed by Prince Arch-Treasurer LEBRUN, from Amsterdam (Holland) on March 29, 1811. “Prince. Mr. de FAVART informs me that Your Most Serene Highness receives him kindly, and he wishes me to commend him to you. I knew his father, who was a very distinguished magistrate at the Parliament of Bordeaux; I can only hope that such a highly regarded man will once again take his rightful place in the courts. It is for this reason that I ask for your support of Mr. de FAVARD…”
