Ferdinand FOCH (Tarbes, Hautes-Pyrénées, 1851–1929), General, Marshal of France, member of the Académie Française + Letter from his wife, Marshal FOCH’s wife; Julie Bienvenüe (1860–1950), second cousin of Fulgence Bienvenüe, designer of the Paris Metro, married Ferdinand Foch on November 5, 1883; he was an artillery officer and future Marshal of France - A signed typewritten letter written in Paris on November 14, 1931, on the letterhead of the Association for the Assistance of Widows of World War I Veterans. Addressed to the President, announcing the death of General Lavisse. Signed “Julie Foch” and “Murat Lejeune” (Baroness Edgard Lejeune).
