Prince de CONTI (Louis-François-Joseph de BOURBON) 1734–1814—the last of the CONTI family. He was initially known as Count de LA MARCHE and served during the Seven Years’ War. Document signed “Bon L.F.J. de BOURBON” in Paris on April 13, 1791, for the purchase of horses. “Purchase from Mr. GIRARD, horse dealer in NEUILLY, for the stables of His Serene Highness the Prince of Conty, two all-black cart horses… at a price of 61 louis for both, including the grooms’ tips…”
