12th Cavalry Regiment, 2nd Company. Unconditional discharge, in duplicate, signed by Major General François BESSIÈRES (Montauban 1755–1825), Commander of the 19th Military Division. Issued in LYON (69) on the 2nd of Messidor, Year 7 (June 20, 1799). Permanent discharge granted to Antoine CHASSAIN, known as Chassain, a Brigadier, a native of Puy-de-Dôme, aged 58, who served from 1766 to Year 2 (1794) with honor and integrity. Certificate (25 x 36 cm). Beautiful “French Republic” vignette in the header. Red wax seal of the Regiment. Certificate (23.5 x 36 cm).
