Paris, September 17, 1822. 2 pages, in-4°: “Madame de BREUILLAC’s pension had already been calculated and finalized, my dear Humbert, when your letter reached me… the settlement was handled with the utmost fairness. Mr. CARPENTIER, a second-class clerk in BREST, whom you have recommended to me, is noted as a hardworking and useful employee, but he does not seem to enjoy the favor of his superiors… ” Recommendation for Mr. de ROUAULT “who is seeking a position as a second-class clerk… he will have to agree to be placed, so to speak, on probation for a while… My tour will end in NANTES; I will certainly not pass through there without having the pleasure of seeing you and Mrs. de SESMAISONS, to whom I ask you to convey my respects… ”
