Marshal Bernard-Pierre MAGNAN (1791–1865), Marshal of France; Fought at Waterloo; took part in the Spanish expedition of 1823. In 1862, NAPOLEON III appointed him Grand Master of Freemasonry. – Place de VERSAILLES, 1861. Document signed by Marshal MAGNAN and Brigadier General DUHESME. Discharge papers for Mr. BOULAND, Gunner in the 11th Artillery Regiment, residing in L’Étang-la-Ville (78). He was awarded the Medal of Italy. – Empire-style vignette and seal – Decorative certificate (26 x 40.5).
