Letter regarding his history of the 1848 Revolution, of which two volumes have been published. He discusses the various newspapers that might review it: “… Many thanks for your helpful advice; I have passed it on to my publisher, PAGNERRE. The first and second volumes of my work have been sent to Mr. DECK, bookseller… I had the first and second volumes delivered to Mr. de BENNE in Paris; I would very much like to know the outcome of my courtesy. *La Liberté* of Antwerp and *La Tribune* of Liège were kind enough to announce my book. I believe I have already written this to you. I must feel that promoting my books serves to promote our ideas, so that I need not fear taking advantage of my friends’ kindness. CARNOT is also going to publish the Memoirs of his father’s life. I am paving the way for him… Jules SIMON told me to write to Mr. MOREL in Liège so that he, for his part, might be so kind as to reach out to the journalists he knows… ”
