Georges HEITZ (1901–1927, a poet who died in an accident at - Lot 109
Georges HEITZ (1901–1927, a poet who died in an accident at age 26; a classmate of Gabrielle de Saint-Exupéry—Antoine’s sister—at the École des Chartres; founder of several literary journals) / Signed autograph letter, 1 p., in-8, to his “dear Teacher” [Fernand Mazade, 1861–1939, poet]: “May I be fortunate enough to see you this evening. You simply must come, and, since I refuse to believe you won’t be there, I will bring you the study by Magallon [Xavier de Magalon, 1866–1956, writer]; I am very curious to hear what you have to say about the publication of *L’Ermitage* [Heitz’s literary review], as well as anything else you might have to say on any subject; As for Gérardot [Gaston Gérardot de Sermoise, 1894–1932, poet and disciple of Fernand Mazade], I’ve written to him. His notes are at the printer’s. So we are in agreement on this as well. See you tonight, then. I cannot express how much I love you, how much I admire you."
