Letter signed VERSAILLES February 25, 1748, to Mr. DESPINOSE Mayor of Le Croisic. 1 folio page: "I have received your letter... in which you request that 4 of the 8-gauge cannons rescued from the wreck of the Flûte LA GIRONDE be used to arm the Redoute, which has been established near the Ance de la Barrière and on which 4 are absolutely out of service... I instruct Sieur de LA VILLE HELIO to give you the four cannons you request...".
