REGIMENTS OF LOUIS XIV. 5 Certificates 1661–1714, in-8°: Vellum signed by François IDRON, Ensign in the Vaisseaux Regiment. Receipt for 22 livres 10 sols according to the statement of Mr. De Laguette, Intendant of Provence + vellum signed by Bruno LIMANS, Lieutenant of the King at the Government of the Citadel of ANTIBES. Receipt for 400 livres in gold Louis for his salary. Dated June 28, 1672 + Certificate signed by VIAL NICOLAY, Lieutenant Colonel in the LAC Cavalry Regiment. Permanent discharge for Jean Baptiste VIVIAN, cavalryman, after having served very faithfully since the regiment’s founding. Issued in STRASBOURG (67) on November 5, 1710 + Certificate signed by VIAL, Lieutenant Colonel and Commander of the FLÈCHE Cavalry Regiment. We hereby certify that Sieur Saint Martin served in the Regiment as a Cavalryman, Brigadier, and Sergeant in the Royrie Company for a period of 25 years. Dated in STRASBOURG (67) on December 10, 1714. Endorsed by the future Marshal DU BOURG, then Governor of the Province of Alsace. (Léonor Marie du Maine, Count du Bourg, Marshal of France in 1724). The wax seal has been cut away + Certificate signed by ST MARTIN, Lieutenant Colonel and Commander of the LOSTANGE Infantry Regiment. Unconditional leave granted to a soldier to return to the Hôtel des Invalides, issued on January 12, 1714. Wax seal.
